We at Watoto Arts are extremely proud of our local production based in Stockholm. As a family business, we take great responsibility for creating a positive change in society while reducing our environmental impact.
Our production
Having full control over our production means we can closely monitor every step and guarantee that our products meet the highest safety and quality standards. This also enables us to quickly respond to customer needs and adapt our production accordingly.
Non-toxic and organic
All our products are made from non-toxic fabrics that comply with European standards, specifically tested and certified according to the European standard EN71-3 for the manufacture of toys. This ensures that our products are not only safe for children but also for the environment.
Local employment and empowerment
At Watoto Arts, we offer employment opportunities, including training and support, to individuals who have encountered barriers in the labor market. Our goal is to empower women and create a more inclusive society.
Transport
A local production means that products do not have to travel long distances, which minimizes carbon dioxide emissions. We believe in making sustainable choices at every stage of our business. We are proud to use fully recyclable packaging for our products, this is part of our commitment to reducing waste. When you receive a product from us, you can therefore trust that not only the product is durable, but also the packaging.
Recycling
Our strategy is simple and effective: we recycle, upcycle and donate. Our leftover fabrics are donated to preschools for children to create with. By doing this, we contribute to a cleaner, greener and more creative future.
